What Can We Do To Stop Michael Vick?

I know I have spoken about this subject before but lately I have gotten many letters regarding this "man" again. A large percentage of these letters contain the question you will be reading below. The person who sent me this letter consented that I publish the letter but asked to keep the name confidential. Here we go...

"Hi Mandy. There must be a way to deal with the NFL and this Michael Vick business. I don't have your gift for words. When you write it is a thing of beauty. Everything is dealt with and factual and investigated. This prick is not going away. Others like him devoid of a conscious or feelings for anything helpless are supporting him and the NFL is all about money as we know.

Here in Canada, now I speak for a lot of Canadians but not all of them naturally as we have selfish bastards here too but for the most part we think that his brutality and level of evil is just not acceptable. Jail was not enough. His punishment needs to be forever and let it be a message to any others like him.

When he says things like he misses having a dog... he really means... I can do what I want and I am supported and fuck you I am above the law. I personally know some of the stuff that went on at the compound but I am unable to listen to or know about all of it and I get very angry and the feeling of helplessness makes me very depressed and I know those feelings are not just mine but many other people feel that way as well. Vick is bad enough but the NFL is evil for their support and acceptance.

Evil corporations have been taken down before. What can we do in North America to get to the NFL and demand in no uncertain terms that M Vick is gone. We are not going away and we are demanding that he is gone. And a public announcement why. This old boy crap has to be called what it is and then their reputations need to be slaughtered.

In your opinion what would be the next step. I think people could start mending and feel better if there was some action. I know here that there have been a few talk shows where his evil has been discussed and all the support from the NFL and there was not ONE PERSON WHO SUPPORTED M VICK. But they feel defeated and that the NFL is too big. Peta will help but you have to go to them to find out anything and they don't seem to be launching any campaign aimed directly at Vick or the NFL. Who is protecting the NFL. Surely this can be changed.

I know you're busy but every time I hear that bastard's name I get mad all over again. Not just me but others too. I am in Canada. I don't have any say over events in the USA. I don't know if our Football organizations are as bad. We don't have anyone here who has done anything like that. I must admit I hate football anyways. I don't even think sports should be part of the daily news.

I am in Canada and know little of football but I could email if this issue was organized. I don't know if USA teams come here to play but if he was one of the players something here would need to be done to prevent that.

Thanks for listening Mandy. I know you're wonderful."

My response...

First off I would like to thank you for being so passionate about punishing this man for what he has done to so many innocent dogs. I applaud and love you for it. Also want to thank you for the more than kind letter. I only wish I can live up to how you think of me.

You know, all too often we the people are upset about something horrific happening in the news only to move on to the next shocker as soon as it happens and in the process forgetting all about what happened the day, week or month before. Some things should not go away or be forgotten. Some things need not go unpunished.

I totally agree with you... I don't think that justice has been done in the case of Michael Vick. Not even close. This man was the leader of a dog fighting ring. He got his rocks off on making dogs fight to the bitter end. He drowned, beat to death and lynched the dogs which did not fight well enough in his opinion. He did this for many years. He did it for fun... as a hobby.

This man didn't make a "mistake" like many Vick supporters keep chanting like a bunch of hypnotized cult followers. Making a mistake is stealing a car as a teen or getting into a drunken bar fight. This "man" is a demented lying demon who had a blast torturing and killing dogs [one of his victims] for many years and is now laughing his sick as off at all the gullible half wits who have bought into his bullshit apology. Yes people, he is laughing at us. Because he got to torture and kill dogs for a hobby and got away with it. No... let me rephrase that... he got REWARDED for it!

Let us recap what happened here: He organized dog fighting for many years for fun and entertainment. He beat to death, drowned and lynched the dogs that weren't "winners" for shits and giggles. Then he got caught, THEN he was sorry. It is not like he came forward without being caught and stopped on his own volition... no. That is not what happened. This fiend got CAUGHT first and THEN he was sorry and found... you guessed it... JESUS!

I find it interesting that none of these monsters seem to be able to locate Jesus BEFORE they get caught. But they DO find him in jail... Which is, as we all know, where Jesus goes to hang.

So, once he was caught he was so very, very, verrryyy sorry... which he proved to the world by reading (badly I might add since the guy is an almost illiterate fool) that ridiculous apology letter his publicist wrote. Then he spent a little time in that publicly funded 2 star hotel called "jail" where he got a comfortable bed, good food, cable TV and a place to stay in shape. Then he got out and immediately scored a multi million dollar deal with the NFL! Sounds like a horrible punishment so far, doesn't it?

But why stop rewarding this murdering turd here? Noooo... we needed to give him some more good stuff for killing dogs for fun. How about giving him the NFL courage award? Sure, why not! I mean after all. This 215 pound coward did have the "courage" to take a 40 pound tail wagging dog, put the head in a noose, pull him up in the air, smoke pot and laugh at the slowly strangling creature. A true hero he is, right?

Was that enough reward yet...? Of course not! We went and gave him a reality show on BET which was and still is an attempt to make him look like some kind of humanitarian! How do we attempt to make a sadistic pig look like a hero? Well... we write a semi script for his (non) reality show and make him look like an innocent and misunderstood savior of humanity who got the shaft by the evil we call society. That way gullible people will think of him as a victim and product of a wicked planet rather than seeing him for the murdering bastard he really is.

Isn't it a shame that we are always urged to "understand" the criminals and their "suffering" while forgetting the real victims which in this case are the dogs he murdered? We the people seem ever so willing to forgive a deed no matter how evil as long as some one reads a badly written apology note in front of a bunch of cameras especially if the killer has an ever so important talent like throwing a ball well. I mean, being a good ball thrower is such an important talent that is makes someone searching for a cure for cancer look downright pathetic, does it not?

Think about this... the average service and even family dog contributes a more important talent to humanity than Michael Vick does on his best day. Search and rescue dogs find missing children and people buried under rubble... Police dogs protect the public. There are dogs finding bombs, drugs, weapons and saving lives. Therapy dogs help people reconnect with the world. The average family dog will warn, protect and save the family from fires, burglars, home invasions and so on. Seeing eye dogs help blind people be independent. There are service dogs that do everything for disabled people from turning on the light to getting them food to answering the door.

Dogs literally save human lives by the hundreds of thousands globally every day. I could go on and on but I am sure none of these things are anywhere near as important as some sadistic illiterate moron's ability to throw a god damned ball with accuracy... Right? After all, what good is saving a bunch of lives if your throwing arm sucks balls?

Aaaanyway... are all these things enough of a reward for a dog murdering fiend? Oh hell no! Not in the US it isn't! In the US of A we do things right and we do them big! We must have the leader of the free world honor puppy killer boy as well! Let the mother trucking PRESIDENT (!!!) congratulate this murderer for being an inspiration for the next generation of dog and most likely human killers! Fantastic!

Anyone who has done any kind of research on mass murderers knows that ALL of them started by getting off on killing and torturing animals before they went on to the bigger "thrill" of killing humans. Torturing and killing animals is a perfect way to practice torturing and killing people. Don't take my word for it... do your own research.

But we still don't stop there now do we? I remember the day that sadistic piece of excrement returned to the football field. I actually watched that game because I was sure our oh so very evolved and compassionate society would reject anyone who is capable of such cruelty to animals, but what happened when killer boy returned to the game? THE ENTIRE AUDIENCE GAVE HIM A STANDING OVATION!!!!!

You read this right... a standing ovation this man got from EVERYONE in the arena! From the way people worshipped him you could have thought this man just returned from saving a school full of children from an army of terrorists when all he did was sadistically kill helpless dogs for a hobby. There was not a single person in that arena who cared what he had done to all of these dogs. All they cared about was the fact that they would get to witness the mind bending and cataclysmically life-altering event of a grown "man" throwing a ball. That most certainly is enough reason to let him get away with murder, right?

I was speechless. Devastated quite frankly. I could not comprehend how thousands of people could forgive, no CELEBRATE, such a fiend just because he can throw a ball well??? That was the day I watched football for the last time in my life.

To answer your question, do I think that demonstrations, letters, complaints, emails or petitions will make a difference? Nope... that won't do a damned thing. Then is there any way at all to get the NFL to listen? You bet. Do I think that we the people could get him fired from the NFL? Yes I do. Do I think this is going to happen? No, I do not. But for arguments sake I will tell you what we all COULD do to force the NFL to get rid of this filth.

Money makes the world go 'round, right? Imagine if every true animal lover decided to stop watching ALL football games and therefore not just "voice" their displeasure but take ACTION to show it. That would mean the ratings would drop to an all time low. That in turn would piss off the sponsors who pump hundreds of millions into the NFL seeing that their products don't get the exposure their giant checks SHOULD produce. Inevitably they would demand that whatever the reason for the drop in ratings be removed. That in turn would force the NFL to ask the all important question: "Do we want to employ dog killers or do we want to stay rich and bloated?"

I PROMISE you that at this point Vick would be fired in a heartbeat. But here is the problem... While America loves dogs it loves football just a little bit more. Are we really going to give up our beloved past time just to make a stand for a bunch of dogs we didn't even know personally? Are we really supposed to go through life without watching steroid riddled men tackle each other just to stop a guy that killed innocent lives for a hobby? Are we really willing to make that sacrifice just to know that we did the right thing? Well, it seems that whenever I ask even my closest friends the answer is always no.

People want their football. And we can always pretend that our watching the games doesn't mean that we support their decisions. As long as we refuse to see the truth and that we in fact are a part of the problem we get to feel righteous and still get to watch our favorite sport.

Unfortunately, every time we turn on that TV to watch a game we are telling the NFL that we agree with what they are doing. If WE turn on a football game WE are contributing to the ratings. That means that WE are helping the NFL get sponsors to invest. That means that WE are helping the NFL to get hundreds of millions of dollars. That means that WE are helping Michael Vick get his massive pay check.

I know that what I am saying here is not going to be popular with many. Because nobody wants to think of themselves as supporting a killer by watching games and therefore contributing to ratings. It is much easier to pretend that our watching the games has no impact on how Michael Vick gets rewarded. But the truth remains... WE the people have all the power in this game. If WE aren't watching then THEY have to make changes to get us to watch again.

Personally I will never watch another game of football for the rest of my life. Don't get me wrong I love the game of football. But I love dogs, even the ones I don't know personally, a heck of a lot more than watching a bunch of steroid riddled men tackle each other.

If I could convince enough dog lovers to boycott the game of football even for one single season Michael Vick would not stand a chance in keeping his multi million dollar job. But it saddens me to know that this will never happen. I can only dream of a world where people care more about furry children with giant hearts than a bunch of men throwing balls.

Oh, and if you are looking for a great toy for your dog, the official Vick Dog Chew Toy is a definite winner for you!
