Sega have announced that their next game in the award winning Total War series, Total War: Attila, will be released worldwide on February 17, 2015. It is now available for pre-order.
The first downloadable content is titled The Viking Forefathers, and will be available for free alongside the game on release day for players who pre-order from certain retailers, or available in the special edition. The pack adds three additional playable factions to the game: The Danes, The Jutes and The Geats. Each of these Norse-like factions has their own unique battlefield and naval units, missions and cultural and factional traits.
A physical special edition of Total War: Attila will be available in North America and contains items not available in digital versions of the game.
Also included in the special edition is a beautifully illustrated Attila The Hun Biography book with maps, archaeological photographs and specially commissioned artwork detailing the life, times and dark deeds of one of history's most infamous warlords.
Finally, the last item included is a double-sided poster which features the original Total War: Attila campaign map on one side, and a comprehensive playable faction reference guide on the other.
The Viking Forefathers Culture Pack will also be available to purchase separately for $7.99 / £5.99 / 7.49.
