Lara Croft's most recent adventure, Rise of the Tomb Raider, is slowly making its way onto other systems. Many a non-Xbox user were disgruntled by the game's exclusivity at launch, but beginning on January 28, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available for PC via the Windows Store, Steam, and other retailers.
The PC version has seen several new Windows 10-specific features added into the game. Perhaps most notably for PC users, the PC port will include support for 4K resolution. It will also be the first game ever to include VXAO technology.
Scot Amos, Co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics states: "The PC release of Rise of the Tomb Raider continues the positive momentum from our highly successful partnership and collaboration with Microsoft for the launch on Xbox One and Xbox 360."
If Tomb Raider depicted Lara's origins, Rise of the Tomb Raider promises to tell us the story of how Lara becomes the icon we all know: the "Tomb Raider." The story takes place in Siberia as Lara races against Trinity in a search for the fabled city of Kitezh, and the game includes more tombs and puzzles for the player to solve.
