Continuing its recent penchant for somewhat "unwieldy" names, the Pokémon company has unveiled that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire is scheduled to launch worldwide in November of this year.
Available for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS, the games will continue the long-standing tradition of remaking and updating classic titles in the series. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will offer players updated new adventures based on 2003's popular Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
Ruby and Sapphire, as Pokémon fans will know, is set in the picturesque Hoenn Region, and in addition to battling to become the greatest Pokémon master, players also face off against the nefarious Team Aqua and Team Magma.
The updated version of the games (as has been the norm) is unlikely to feature any brand new Pokémon, but instead focuses on providing graphical updates, additional features, and new things to do in the game. Fans of the series can also of course relive their Ruby and Sapphire memories alongside trusted Poké-friends.
Not much else has been revealed thus far, but the title is sure to satisfy the nostalgia urges of a great many fans out there, and perhaps draw a couple of new faces into the fold.
