Sega have announced that Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX, a new 3D rhythm game exclusive for Nintendo 3DS, will be available in North America on May 26, in Japan on May 28 in Japan and Korea, and in Europe on May 29.
The game is developed in collaboration with Good Smile Company, a popular Japanese figure company and features Miku and friends in their Nendoroid figure style. It will include 48 fan-favourite songs and multiple game modes including "Touch" or "Button" Mode, each with varying difficulty levels and customization options.
Some of the possible customizations players are able to utilize include adjusting difficulty via challenge and support items, plus change timing indicators and target icons. Players can even choose to sub out the vocals in certain songs.
In addition, players can create unique dance routines in the Dance Studio, and compose their own song phrases in My Tune. Customizable Player Cards will also be able to be shared with the community using Nintendo’s StreetPass and kept up to date via SpotPass.
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX will be available both in store and digitally via the Nintendo eShop. More information about retailer pre-order programs will be available at a later date.
