Exclusive: Overkill Frontman Talks New Album, Reveals Release Date


Blitz also discusses upcoming live dates, new DVD, Lemmy, Donald Trump and more.

Metaleater's Tony Antunovich caught up with Overkill frontman Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth where the big topics of discussion were the band's next studio album (#18) and plans for a new live DVD/Blu-ray that is in the works. Ellsworth revealed exclusively to Metaleater that Overkill's new, yet-untitled album will be released on October 28 of this year.

During the conversation, Ellsworth also commented on the passing of the late Lemmy Kilmister, sharing a story about performing with Lemmy on stage. In between many humorous moments, he also talks about some of his hobbies, American politics and Donald Trump and how to propose to your fiancée New Jersey style, among other interesting topics.

Nearly a year ago, the band announced a new worldwide contract with their record label, Nuclear Blast. The first official release was the box set HistoriKill: 1995 - 2007.
