Sony Pictures / Columbia Pictures have dropped the first full-length trailer for the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
The beginning of the trailer starts with captions that mention the four scientists -- Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Dr. Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Dr. Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and Winston Zeddmore (Ernie Hudson) -- that saved New York City thirty years ago from a bunch of ghouly ghosts and monsters. Now a new group of ass-kicking females -- Erin Gilbert (Wiig), Abby Yates (McCarthy), Jillian Holtzmann (McKinnon) and Patty Tolan (Jones) -- are taking over the job as New York is once again threatened by an overwhelming amount of paranomal disturbances.
The film is directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy) and also stars Charles Dance, Chris Hemsworth and Michael Kenneth Williams. Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts and Ernie Hudson will be making appearances in the film as well.
Ghostbusters will be released in theaters on July 15.
