Last summer we saw the first still image of Michael Fassbender in the new Assassin's Creed movie, and now 20th Century Fox have revealed the very first full-length trailer for the film. Watch above and see Ubisoft's beloved video game franchise come to life in motion picture glory.
In the trailer, Fassbender finds out that his character has been executed and is being prepped for entry into the Animus to fill the shoes of his ancestor, who died 500 years ago. Now in the age of the Spanish inquisition, Fassbender becomes Assassin Callum Lynch with a mission to complete. Judging by all the high-flying leaps and bounds, and fantastic fight sequences show in the trailer, it looks like the perfect role for Fassbender.
Assassin's Creed's cast also includes Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Michael Kenneth Williams and Callum Turner. The film also sees Fassbender and Cotillard reuniting with Australian director Justin Kurzel, who helmed last year's Macbeth. Fassbender is also producing the film.
Assassin's Creed will be released in theaters on December 21.
