If you're familiar with the work of Horror master James Wan (The Conjuring, Annabelle, the Saw series, Insidious), then you'll probably feel enthused about his latest take of terror, Lights Out. Warner Bros. have given us a new look at the film in this new trailer, which you can watch above.
Based on a three-minute short film by David F. Sandberg from a screenplay by Eric Heisserer (Final Destination 5), Lights Out caught the attention of Wan and is now being made into a full-length feature Horror.
Here's the official synopsis:
When Rebecca left home, she thought she left her childhood fears behind. Growing up, she was never really sure of what was and wasn't real when the lights went out... and now her little brother, Martin, is experiencing the same unexplained and terrifying events that had once tested her sanity and threatened her safety. A frightening entity with a mysterious attachment to their mother, Sophie, has reemerged. But this time, as Rebecca gets closer to unlocking the truth, there is no denying that all their lives are in danger... once the lights go out.
The film marks Sandberg's directorial debut, and stars Teresa Palmer, Gabriel Bateman, Billy Burke, Alexander DiPersia and Maria Bello.
Lights Out is set for release in theaters on July 22.
